Chidi Onukogu, a graduate of University of Nigeria, Nsukka saw roller skating years back and it was like love at first sight for him and since soccer didn't work for him, he gained interest. Skating became his passion, he gained followers and also inspired countless individuals to learn skating throughout Nigeria especially in Abuja where he resigned from a construction company and founded "SkateLove." 
He bought the equipment for skating and taught many kids and youths for free with great honor for a period of time.
Today, they train and play ball while skating at Jabi Lake Park most evenings and weekend mornings. so if you think you have a connection to roller skating and you have what it takes...Chidi is the right contact.

THE GAME OF VOLLEY BALL!!!

Volleyball is a complex game of simple skills. The ball is spiked from up to 60 cm above the height of a basketball hoop and takes fractions of a second to travel from the spiker to the receiver. That means the receiver must assess incoming angle, decide where to pass the ball and then control their pass in the blink of an eye. Volleyball is a purely rebound sport (you can't hold the ball), it is a game of constant motion.

At Jabi lake, the volleyballers have their main games 7:00am on Saturdays and public holidays. The team is a combination of young and middle-aged men and women who are just lovers of the game, not for any serious competition.

HORSE RIDING!!!

Horse riding is a wonderful experience most people will ordinarily want to have. some people confirm their courage by successfully riding a horse without panic or upsetting the horse. 

At Jabi Lake, the horses are controlled by some young Northerners who demand for a fee before allowing anyone ride on their horses. They also usually follow up to make sure their customers are safe and successfully end their rides.

BOAT RIDE!!!

This is also a means of determining one's courage in a different aspect. Some people are Aquaphobic, some are not, some do not even know if they are aquaphobic or not ... they are just not adventurous to find out.....LOL! the feeling you get when you are on water and the air you breath is like no other! you should try it out.

At Jabi lake, a fee is also charged for a two-way cruise on the boat. they also have life jackets available as safety is a very important essential. 

PRIVATE BICYCLE!!!

Individuals ride their bicycles from their various homes both far and near to Jabi lake to cycle on the good grounds. its an exciting form of exercise and are often used by people seeking to improve their fitness and cardiovascular health. In this regard, cycling is especially helpful for those with arthritis of the lower limbs who are unable to pursue sports that cause impact to the knees and other joints.
